Poetry Reading: Love is For All of Us

May 6 @ 7:00 pm
Please join us on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary for a poetry reading by James Crews, Brad Peacock, and Donna Hilbert! We will hold a conversation in poetry, sharing poems from our latest anthology, Love Is for All of Us, with a special focus on tenderness and belonging at this fraught moment. The conversation in poetry will be followed by a Q & A, and we will have books for sale, which we will be happy to sign for you—all three of us!

Donna Hilbert’s latest book is Enormous Blue Umbrella, Moon Tide Press, 2025. Work has appeared in journals and broadcasts including Eclectica, Gyroscope, Rattle, Sheila Na Gig, ONE ART, Verse Daily, Vox Populi, tsPoetry, The Writer’s Almanac, anthologies including Boomer Girls, The Widows’ Handbook, The Poetry of Presence I & II, The Path to Kindness, The Wonder of Small Things, Love is For All of Us. She writes and leads workshops in Long Beach, California.

James Crews is the author of Turning Toward Grief: Reflections on Life, Loss & Appreciation, and Breathing Room: Poems for Rest & Retreat as well as five other poetry collections. He is editor of several bestselling anthologies, including The Wonder of Small Things (winner of the New England Book Award), The Path to Kindness (winner of the Nautilus Award), and How to Love the World, which has sold over 100,000 copies to date.

Brad Peacock is a veteran, organic farmer, and photographer. He is co-editor of Love Is for All of Us, a bestselling anthology of LGBTQ+ love poems. He is also a published author, and has been featured in The Washington Blade, Vox Populi, and other newspapers throughout the country. He lives with his husband on land that he is rehabilitating with native plants and flowers, slowly returning the ecosystem to a paradise for pollinators and all wildlife.
