DESCRIPTION:Join us for an amazing offering with Tenzin Chogkyi as she brings mindfulness and emotions to our center. The Cultivating Emotional Balance training was sparked during a meeting between behavioral scientists\, a neuroscientist\, a monk\, a philosopher\, and the Dalai Lama in 2000\, as a new approach to understanding our emotional lives. Combining contemporary scientific research with contemplative practices drawn from Buddhism\, the Cultivating Emotional Balance training gives participants new tools for working with emotion.​ \n\n\n\nIn this daylong workshop you will be introduced to some of the key components of this training\, including:​ \n\n\n\n•Understanding how emotions work\, and how they can work for and not against us;​ \n\n\n\n•Recognizing and working with emotional triggers;​ \n\n\n\n•Managing difficult emotions such as anger;​ \n\n\n\n•Increasing compassion for the self and others;​ \n\n\n\n•Cultivating genuine happiness and mental balance.​ \n\n\n\n​ \n\n\n\nThis training will include lectures\, meditations\, and experiential learning in small and large groups.  \n\n\n\nThe cost is $45 and tickets can be purchased by clicking the “Register For This Class” button below.​ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister For This Class
