DESCRIPTION:The Circle is pleased to welcome back Practitioner Pat Fromer; she will be facilitating her Prayer Bead Workshop on Saturday\, November 16th @ 1:30pm. \n\n\n\nPat is the creator of her own unique version of prayer beads called Global Peace Shawls. You will create 108 “mala type” prayer bead design that you may use to pray for world peace\, world health and the continuity of spirituality. \n\n\n\nAre you looking to deepen and expand your spiritual practice\, your prayer practice and add sacred ritual into your life? These unique and beautiful prayer beads are a tool to support you in that. \n\n\n\nThe prayer bead materials include: 36 very small beads at the neck\, 12 animal totems\, 12 medium shapes representing a variety of things; peace\, prosperity\, eternity\, joy\, happiness\, etc. 12 larger beads (6 at each end) with 36 smaller beads between animals and shapes. Join us at the Pacific Coast Center for Spiritual Living for a screening of “True Believer” on Saturday\, August 10\, at 4:00 PM\, followed by a discussion. \n\n\n\nFor over 40 years\, the Religious Right in the US has proclaimed a patriarchal\, anti-LGBTQ gospel\, from cross-engraved-pulpits to bunting-laced podiums. “True Believer” explores the origins of this movement\, weaving together the larger political intentions at play with Kristen Irving’s story of her own experience within a family deeply committed to their evangelical community. Kristen’s personal story will resonate with many persons who have either found their way out of the evangelical church or have become deeply uncomfortable within it.
